How to Pick the Right Banner

Banners, Canvas, mesh, Vinyl

You need a banner that is appropriate in all the right ways for your business or event. First of all you should ask yourself where it is going to be hanging and choose the material accordingly. Canvas, polypropelene, polyester fabric and even choices in recycled materials are available. What is the message that you wish to convey? Is your company about recycling? You have the chance to display what you are saying on something that also sends a proud message in a case like this.

Color choices and size are also important. How far away are you hoping to get attention from people? If you are hoping to draw people to a business from the highway, the larger the sign and print, the better. You will also wish to consider the choices in font for the wording. Many businesses choose something that seems whimsical and cute but is actually very difficult to read from a distance. This is the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot and wasting time and money. Don’t hang a sign that no one can read. It just doesn’t make sense now does it?

You can choose from types of papers if you are using the sign indoors and this makes for wonderful transfer of photos and images so that your graphics can really shine. These signs might be displayed over the sale items on a showroom floor if you are selling merchandise in a store or for a car dealership that is seeking to draw attention to a contest or a particular model that is on sale or on special.

Colors are important and it is a proven fact that bright colors will catch the eye of most people faster than just standard black and white. People are also influenced in more ways by the colors you choose. Green tends to put people in the mood to buy, for example. Red is always eye catching but may be off-putting to some people who equate it with emergencies or “stop” psychologically. Yellow is the color that the human eye actually sees first when next to other colors. Want them to see something first? Use yellow!

Depending on your needs, you can see how the choices are almost mind boggling, but take your time and if you have questions, then give us a call, 757-545-7675.
